Our social commitment to local needs
Our corporate objective, as defined in our mission statement, is to “Devise and build the energy models of tomorrow, in close collaboration with regional communities, by focusing on shared governance and local, social value creation”.
As a renewable energy producer, CVE has been working since its creation to develop projects that meet the needs of local energy transition, are socially responsible and benefit local employment and economic growth.
Creation of local value shared with local communities
A strong regional dynamic
CVE develops projects that meet the needs of local energy transition. We measure this territorial dynamic through our projects developed on public land, with the participation of local authorities in governance and capital, or which enable direct or local consumption of the energy produced.
Raising awareness of the energy transition
In France, for example, the Bissey-sous-Cruchaud (71) and Saint-Benoît-la-Forêt (37) solar farms benefit from a strong local presence, with an annual open day dedicated to raising awareness of renewable energies among schoolchildren and local residents. Our affiliate in the United-States regularly hosts students from local institutions, to give them the opportunity to visit our solar sites and to engage in informative discussions on renewable energies.
Our philanthropy approach
Our teams involved in volunteering
Commitment is our trademark, and we live it out through our philanthropic approach. For the past 15 years, we have been committed to promoting equal opportunities and social inclusion, and raising awareness of environmental and biodiversity issues. As soon as CVE was created, we set up a a volunteering program, which today gives our team in France 5 days of their working time to get involved with associations listed by CVE on our commitment platform.
The “CVE Foundation, Empowering Action”
With the creation of our foundation housed at the Fondation de France, CVE has structured its philanthropic approach. We involve our teams even more closely in the choice of the associations the CVE Foundation supports and the management of this network of committed players.
Our Foundation aims to help everyone work together to build a more sustainable and balanced society, in order to :
- Enabling people in precarious situations to embark on a sustainable life project
- To help them blossom
- In a balanced, inclusive and environmentally-friendly territory
The governance of the CVE Foundation encourages the commitment of our teams, with a project committee made up of 11 employees. Our executive committee includes 4 employees alongside our two founding partners Hervé and Pierre, and 3 external French personalities: Jane Bouvier, Arnaud Poissonnier and Benjamin de Molliens.
